Axiology of Russia’s Image in Mass Media Discourse in Coronavirus Pandemic

The current paper addresses the issue of axiological potential mass media discursive texts generated during coronavirus outbreak, namely those discussing and debating Russian vaccines. study draws on discourse analysis linguoaxiological texts, which reveals main ideological trends informing global community about state Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine. authors have determined that revealed as a result concern such phenomena ‘political agenda’, ‘safety issues’ ‘compulsion to vaccinate / mistrust government’. To share these axiologically charged ideas, speakers follow particular verbal practices, i.e., using emotive vocabulary, primarily evaluative word-combinations, notions, metaphors, pejorative markers etc. for manipulating perception covered events.
